Start by washing your hair with a hydrating shampoo and a hydrating conditioner or mask. Gently pat your hair dry with a towel to remove excess water, leaving it slightly damp. Apply a small amount of cream to the palm of your hand. The amount may vary depending on the length and density of your curls. Rub your hands together to evenly distribute the cream, then apply it to your hair, making sure to cover every strand. Pay particular attention to the mid-lengths and ends, which tend to be drier. Use your fingers or a comb to distribute the cream evenly and define your curls. For added definition, you can roll individual strands around your finger or brush.
