FOR NATURAL-LOOKING BROWS
Natural-look eyebrow products: which ones to choose
Behind every naturally perfect eyebrow is always the right product, and the good news is there isn't just one. Pencils, serums, gels: each formula works on the arch differently, gives a different finish, and meets different needs. Understanding which one is right for you is the first step to achieving a truly natural result.
EYELASH AND EYEBROW SERUM
EYELASH AND EYEBROW SERUM
Eyelash and eyebrow serum
If your eyebrows are already thick but you want to define and intensify them, a specific serum is the ideal starting point. The Iron Lash & Brow 5in1 eyelash and eyebrow serum is a multi-function formula that lengthens, volumizes, amplifies, strengthens, and sets in a single step.
The blend of active ingredients acts directly on the hair follicle, energizing the hair and improving its performance over time. Applied daily, it transforms the texture of the arch and prolongs its durability.
Fine-tip pencils and liners
To draw individual hairs with millimetric precision, the fine-tip pencil is the most effective tool and also the most used by makeup artists to achieve natural-looking eyebrows: it serves to fill in empty spaces and adjust the shape. The stroke must always be short and light, a continuous line risks appearing artificial.
The tip must be kept well-sharpened for maximum control. Discover our complete selection of eyebrow pencils.
Eyebrow gels and fixers
Gel is the product that makes the difference between well-groomed eyebrows and truly perfect eyebrows. It helps to comb the hairs upwards, creating that much-loved fluffy effect - voluminous, "explosive," and very natural - and ensures hold all day long.
It can be used alone or over other products, and is available in both transparent and colored versions. Discover the eyebrow fixers in the dedicated line, and if you want to explore the entire offer, our eyebrow makeup line gathers everything you need in one place.
How to naturally draw, fill in, and thicken your eyebrows
Naturally enhancing your eyebrows doesn't require special or artistic skills; it requires method.
The natural shape of your eyebrows is already the most suitable for you: the task is to enhance it, fill in gaps, and define the contour without altering anything.
Step 1 - Redefine and brush the hairs
Before applying any product, brush the hairs upwards with a spoolie brush: this simple action reveals the actual gaps to be filled, stray hairs, and the natural arch contour and guides you through the subsequent steps.
If you have long or unruly hairs, now is the time to remove those truly out of place with a professional tweezer.
Step 2 - Define the shape with short strokes
Start from the bottom of the arch, then move to the top edge. Use short, light strokes that mimic natural hairs, never drawing a continuous line: this is how you fill in eyebrows naturally.
Always follow the direction of hair growth and focus on sparse areas or gaps, not the entire arch: the less product you use, the more credible the result will be.
An important detail: the head of the eyebrow, i.e., the part near the nose, should always be lighter and less defined than the tail. It is this nuance that makes it all convincing.
What you should avoid: completely changing the natural shape, lowering the tail too much or extending it beyond measure.
Step 3 - Blend with the brush
This is the step that turns "drawn" eyebrows into natural-looking brows, and it's also often skipped.
Run the brush (our makeup artists recommend the Eye Area and Eyebrow Pencil Brush 53) over the freshly applied product with short strokes in the direction of the hairs: it softens the lines, removes excess, and evens out the color without erasing the work done.
The short, dense bristles allow for precise hair-by-hair control, and are particularly useful on the head of the eyebrow.
Step 4 - Set with gel
The last step is also the one that ensures hold. Apply an eyebrow gel: choose a clear one if you only want to set what you've done, a tinted one if you want to add a touch of color.
If you're looking for a product that combines hold and definition in one go, the eyebrow wax pencil is a practical and effective solution: it shapes, sets, and defines with a single application, and it's also perfect for those who want to set their eyebrows naturally without weighing down the final result.
FAQ
If your eyebrows are much lighter than your hair, choosing the right shade is crucial. The basic rule is simple: opt for a shade half a tone lighter than your hair color. If you have black or dark brown hair, for example, avoid full black, which would look artificial, and prefer a warm gray or brown, which is much more harmonious on the face.
The key is gradual application: start from the tail, which is naturally darker, and blend towards the head with an increasingly lighter hand. Applying too much product in a single stroke is the most common mistake: it's better to build the color in thin layers, checking the result with each pass.
To lengthen a short arch, extend the tail with small downward-sloping strokes, following the natural angle of the existing hairs. The maximum recommended extension is 2–3 mm beyond the original tail: beyond that threshold, the result starts to look artificial.
Gull-wing eyebrows have a thin head, a full body, and a slightly descending tail: a shape that, indeed, resembles a seagull's wings in flight. They are particularly suitable for oval faces and those with prominent cheekbones, while on round or very short faces, they tend to visually lower the features. If you want to try them, work with light strokes and do not overdo the length of the tail.
Natural eyebrows: the right technique makes all the difference
Natural eyebrows does not mean eyebrows without makeup. It means precisely groomed arches, enhanced with the right products and defined with a technique that respects what you already have. The result, that hair-by-hair effect that looks so spontaneous and that we've been seeing in all the magazines lately, is actually the result of conscious choices: the product format, the order of steps, the lightness of the stroke.
If you want to explore the formulas designed for every type of arch, you can find everything in the eyebrow line, from serums to gels, from pencils to brushes. Whatever your starting point, there's a product made to accompany you.
